We spoke on the R forum when you were looking for a Golf R picked the RS3 from Stafford Audi middle of July only just got round to running her in so time for fun now

Arrr I see... The VAG world is small hey.. You preferring the RS3 over the R then?

I think the R is the better looking (especially as I only wanted 3 Doors) but the noise and performance puts the RS3 in a different league :) Although didn't keep the R that long so I might be being a bit unfair

Beautiful cars! I'm in a similar boat as I just traded my S3 in for the RS3 after only 5 months. The sound of these things did it for me!

I wanted a Golf R for ages, it seemed like the only real upgrade from the R32. Spent ages reading up on them, looking for the best deal and then I test drove one. To me it didn't really feel any quicker than my R32's, I know it is on paper but feel wise it felt like the same sort of league, I missed out on this car as I took a long time thinking about what I wanted.

So I then decided I'd still get one but the first thing I'd do would be to remap it. Another 6 months went by looking for the right one again, by this point the Mk7 had been announced and the residual value had dropped and now silly money to finance.

5 days later I was driving round in the RS3 :)
